Shadowy memories

After the events in ponyvill Eclipse became a un known hero to equestria, not ecstatically her goal but she did get what she needed, Black Inks power, well some of it. Eclipse could now turn into ink and make ink whips appear from her shadows, but she couldn't infect things with them. She used her new found powers to sneak into the place she always had to go, Tartarus. Getting in was the easy part, getting out on the other hoof was a different story.

Eclipse weaved her way through the cracks of Tartarus, right under Cerberus's three noses. She searched deeper and deeper into the belly of hell, looking for the one whom almost destroyed Equestria, the one known as Tirek. Once long ago,  Tirek and his brother tried taking over the land of shadows, but was thwarted by Eclipse and an army of darkness. No match for Eclipse and the army at her helm they where captured but instead of executing them, Eclipse choose to spare the two and instead pointed them to Equestria, but before releasing them she swore that the next time they meet that it will be there end. And now that time has come, she found him chained in the depths of hell. She looked app-on him, He was a centaur with dark reddish skin, white hair, black fur, cloven hooves, and is somewhat bovine in appearance with a clock covering most of his body. Due to his lack of strength from losing all his magic his body was left weak and frail, yet again in a old state. he was seeming to meditate as Eclipse watched from the cracks

He spoke, still meditating " hello Eclipse" she stayed to the shadows, not replying. Tirek opened his eyes, instinctual looking dead at her " quiet rude to not introduce yourself " she then stepped out of the shadows, still clocked in robes and darkness, " long time no see" Tirek smirked " even in this hole I knew you'd come for me, I'm flattered " " I keep my word, I take it your attempts to concur Equestria failed?" Tirek then laughed " hahaha, twice I failed. But then again you seemed to have failed as well" a strong gust of wind blew off Eclipses hood, revealing her new face. Eclipse smiled then replied " yes well it seems we've both had some set backs, you with your brother and the elements of harmony and me being stabbed in the back and ended up loosing a kingdom" Tirek chucked  " better then nether having one in the first place, I remember the first time we met, although you where all shadow I still remember your silhouetted different? And you had red hair, like glowing brimstone" Eclipse smiled as she said " yes well I got a new body and after loosing my kingdom I realized it was actually holding me back" "your weaker then before, I can tell" "true, but not by much, I am close to regaining my power and then some" Tirek had a question on his mind " tell me are you going to kill me, then my brother or have you already got to him?" Eclipse then pulled out a knife " I don't need to kill him, plus I have no clue where he could be but I only really needed one of you,  you’re a mandatory part of my evolution" Tirek then walked closer before being held back by the chains " evolution into what? " she then walked up to him and slowly pushed the knife into his heart, blood poured out as he collapsed to his knees and looked up to Eclipse, her face silhouetted in the light with her purple eye glowing. She the answered him in one word "God"

As he laid there dead and bleeding out on the floor, she stared into the pool of blood and remembered the first time they met. It was a quiet day in Equestria, everything was peaceful and nice, but then again that dons't matter because there chance encounter didn't happen in Equestria. It happened in the kingdom of darkness know as Umbra , it was a usual day in the kingdom, darkness, ruin and gloom was everywhere. but in the distance came the monstrous Lord Tirek and his brother Scorpan, the ground shook and the winds howled as they approached.

A shadow scout saw them and rushed to the castle, he burst through the door in a panic " your majesty! Intruders approaching" Eclipse was asleep on her throne chair, in the ruins of her castle, her body was made of dark shadow smoke  as most shadows were, but she had long red smoke hair and white eyes, and atop her head was a old rusty crown. Her first adviser, standing next to her sighed " another one whom broke the rules" Eclipse then woke up slowly, she death stared the scout as he was nervous, she then muttered " waking me from a nap is punishable by death" the scout then collapsed in agony, screaming and begging for mercy as he began to be extinguished. Eclipse then stood up and asked her adviser " what's all the fuss was about?" " it looks like we are being invaded your majesty" she smiled " good I was getting bored" she then walked out to balcony with advisor behind her " shall I call the troops your majesty? " " sure why not, Larry " she then took off to confront Tirek and his brother, Larry grinned angrily "it's Shadowfright"

At the border Tirek was talking to his brother " I sense strong dark magic here" Scorpian  looked nervous "I don't like the feel of this place brother" " this kingdom fell hundreds of years ago, what is left is shadows and ghosts" Eclipse then shot down from the sky and landed in front of them "just shadows, we ate the ghosts " They weren't moved, Tirek smirked "so I was right, there is powerful magic here" "are you hear to concur our beautiful land?" Scorpian laughed "Hahaha this land? It's nothing but a dead waste land" Eclipse was cross, she pointed her hoof at Scorpian "Get only him"suddenly a title wave of darkness gathered behind Eclipse, Scorpain's smile quickly disappeared "crap" he then bolted back, the darkness washed around me and Tirek as we still had not broken eye contact.

As the darkness chased Scorpian, Eclipse and Tirek spoke, she was distressed at what Scorpian had said "This land is crummy, plus it's holding me, I mean my people back, you can have it" Tirek laughed "I'm not here for the land, I'm hear for your power, the power of you and your whole kind. You don't give a dam about them so why not let me have there power" Eclipse smiled "your right I don't give a dam about them, but I need there power too, I planned to consume them and become a god. But there isn't enough of them yet so we'll need to get a new kingdom, a better one, O I know, there's that new place over those mountains to south, what's it called? Equhorsetria or something"  "Equestria, we where planning on going there after here, we where looking for a snack along the way" Eclipse fell on her back laughing " hahaha! A snack, o please you aren't strong enough to beat me, your brother can't even beat my army"

Scorpian was trying to out run the darkness following him, he grabbed a big rock and flew up, throwing it at the darkness, it just passed straight through it, as did Scorpian's Magic attacks. As he tried to fly away a shadow pony from the swarm grabbed his leg and pulled him into the swarm, the swarm then formed a solid black orb in the sky, capturing him and detaining him  inside. Tirek got mad and tried to punch Eclipse, but she dodged at the last second and was flouting above him "O please, even if I let you consume my army, you'd still not be nearly strong enough to beat me" she then appeared in front of him and whipped his chest with her red smoke hair, he went flying back, tumbling along the ground before crashing into a bolder. Eclipse smirked a little but as the dust cleared she saw him barley standing, a bruise on his chest and blood dripping from his mouth "congratulations on not dying" he then roared and threw the huge bolder at her, She smirked again and shot a energy beam at the bolder, evaporating in completely. Tirek then shot a energy beam, Cutting the stormy sky and Eclipse in half, but she still grinned.

her two half's rejoined before making a small ball of dark purple energy in her hoof. The shadow ponies yelled "Run!" And the sphere holding Scorpian dissipated into shadows that where running, Scorpian fell from the sky, being incapacitated from suffocation, he hit the ground with a thud. Tirek was confused "what are you doing?" Eclipse then dropped the orb and it fell with great speed, whistling through the air before hitting the ground hard, leaving a crater but not Exploding. Eclipse slowly began to disappear "That is a time bomb that will explode in thrifty seconds, if you survive then you'll have my respect" she then disappeared, Tirek tired to pick up the orb but it's was too dense and heave to budge, even with all his strength. He then grabbed his brother and ran like hell, making a forcefield around them, there was a flash and bang. The flash brightened the whole land and the band blew away the clouds and all the windows in the land, the whole land shock as five kilometers was ripped apart and destroyed in a instant, the sheer heat leaving a shallow perfectly smooth creator and a fireball of unbelievable size. As for Tirek and Scorpian, they survived barely, bruised, battered and burn. Eclipse reappeared and flue down to Tirek, she wrapped her mane around his neck and lifted him up so they could be face to face, he was barley able to move or stay awake "way to go, you didn't die, as a prize I'll let you two live, but if I ever see you again I'll eat you ok" she smiled and let them go, Tirek limped away, dragging his broth behind him, defeated and dishonored.

Later on they recovered and went to to attack Equestria and loose, as for Eclipse, well this was the end of her flash back, more next time.

With that Tirek was dead, Eclipse then swallowed his body in darkness, giving her some of his abilities. She could now absolve others power much more easily but mainly she could now sustain her massive power, mainly her creation eye. Tirek had given her control and stability, something she needed.
